In1968, running mostly on hope and luck, Pool ‘N Patio opened its doors for the first time. Specializing only in pool chemicals and parts, this unique little shop quickly made its mark on the Salt Lake Valley. Though initial expansion included the selling of hot tubs and spas, in the mid -1970s, then owner Ted Alberico decided to try a different market in the aquatics realm. In addition to parts and chemicals, Pool ‘N Patio began to offer at-home repairs and maintenance, creating a full-fledged service department. Ted also decided to venture into the world of competitive swimwear and accessories, launching what would become the premier source for swimming equipment in the state of Utah.

 Over the years, Pool ‘N Patio has continued to impress customers with their friendly service, unbeatable prices, and large selection. The service department regulary stocks thousands of parts and chemicals. The swimwear selection has expanded further to include aqua aerobics gear, fitness swimming suits, triathlon apparel, and wetsuits. Our business now services people throughout Utah, as well as Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, and Colorado.

 Ted has since retired. His share of the business was purchased by his good friend and Partner of 15 years, Rick Rasmussen.
